Sen Ndume says he’s ready to go to Kuje prison to prove widespread rights abuse in prison system

One sonofabitch (oh.. alleged sonofabitch) jumped bail and got his surety and Sen Ali Ndume holding the baby.

The Borno senator is however unfazed as he boldly embraced Abuja High Court Justice Okon Abang’s order that he be caged in Kuje prison for the idiot Maina he stands in for.

“It’s part of why Borno South voted for me—to cover their ass in my constituency, including those bail hoppers’—so I can go to jail and do my oversight duty first hand,” said Ndume while responding to the remand order on Monday.

He claimed Nigeria under President Muhammadu Buhari is known for violating prisoners’ rights.

“And my colleagues in the upper chamber don’t have balls big enough to plumb the depth of this rights abuse.”

A sour puss since he lost the Senate presidency to Buhari’s choice Ahmed Lawan in 2019, Ndume has been protesting and criticizing his party and party leaders on everything, including amnesty for terrorists, insecurity, taxation, male circumcision, and whatnot.

“This may seem unfortunate to you, but it is strategic—that the looter Abdulrahaman Maina I guaranteed ran away, giving me an opportunity to carry my protest against APC as far as going to prison,” Ndume added.

Nigeran prisons have been reputed as facilities  where bad guys and scumbags like Maina, Olisa Metuh, ex-Gov Joshua Dariye, kidnapper Evans, and others are secreted after a court of competent jurisdiction sentences them.
