2023: Fayemi accepts offer to take over from Buhari, wonders why it’s hard for Nigerians to figure out

Ekiti Gov. Kayode Fayemi has finally opened up on his ambition to run for the presidency in 2023.

The governor made this known—in a manner most politicians do—during an interview with Channels TV.

According to him, he’s a damn serious politician.

“Only a knucklehead and ne’er-do-well politician will reject an offer of a Limo ride into Aso Rock Villa for four years—or eight years,” he said.

“Can’t you see all the opportunities of being in Aso Rock? More than Boko Haram and kidnappers and herdsmen and covid-19?”

The governor had kept many in suspense since 2020 when his Ekiti chapter of the party actually offered him the ticket, and declared him the southwest winner of the 2023 presidential election because his name is JFK.

President Muhammadu Buhari also likes the herder-friendly governor.

Now that he has accepted the offer, Fayemi pleaded for more time to quickly wrap up the shit-cleaning he’s been doing since he took over from PDP’s Gov. Ayo Fayose.
